About this desk organizer

A 3D printed desk organizer in your own width and depth. Its walls slope from a low front to a tall back, so everything in it stays in view and in reach. Lay out the compartments yourself, drag the walls to the sizes you want, and download an STL to print. There is no CAD to learn.

What people make with it

Each is a starting point. Open one and change it to your own desk. For a desk organizer with drawers, make the stackable storage drawer at the same width and depth and stand this on top. See them together in the 3D printed desk organizers.

What you can change

  • Footprint. From 120 to 400 mm wide and deep, in millimetres or inches.
  • Angled profile. A front from 20 to 150 mm tall and a back from 40 to 250 mm tall. The walls rise between them and are level over the back of the organizer.
  • Compartments. Up to 24. Split one, merge two, label them, or drag a wall to resize. None can be smaller than 30 mm.
  • Walls and floor. Walls from 1.6 to 5 mm thick and a floor from 2.4 to 5 mm.
  • Stacking. Recesses underneath that drop over the tabs of a storage drawer, or a flat base for the desk.

Printing it

  • It prints as it stands, floor down, with no supports. The stacking recesses are cut into the base and need none either.
  • Choose your printer and the editor checks that the organizer fits its bed. It is printed in one piece.
  • You download an STL or 3MF file, ready for your slicer.

Common questions

How does it stack on a drawer?

A storage drawer has four raised tabs on top and this organizer has four matching recesses underneath. Their places come from the width and depth alone, so any two parts made at the same width and depth line up, whatever their heights.

Can the compartments be different sizes?

Yes. Every wall can be dragged, so compartments can be any width and depth down to 30 mm. Each one shows its inside size as you work.

Why are the walls lower at the front?

So small things in the front row are easy to see and pick up, and tall things at the back, such as pens and notebooks, stand upright without hiding what is in front of them.

Do I need an account?

No. You can generate and download without one. An account keeps your saved configurations, so you can come back to them.
