About this drawer organizer

Most drawer organizers are a fixed size that nearly fits. This one is made to the inside of your drawer: enter its width and depth, put a divider wherever you want one, and download an STL to print. It is a custom drawer insert in one piece, with no gap left at the edges and no CAD to learn.

What people make with it

Each is a starting point. Open one, change it to your own drawer, and the compartments keep their proportions. For hand tools, sockets and bits, see the 3D printed tool organizers.

What you can change

  • Size. Any drawer from 120 to 1,200 mm wide and deep, and an organizer from 20 to 180 mm tall, in millimetres or inches.
  • Compartments. Split, merge and drag the dividers on the plan until everything has its place.
  • Fit. Choose how much clearance to leave on each side, from a snug fit to an easy one.
  • Walls and floor. Set the wall thickness from 1.2 to 5 mm and the floor from 1 to 5 mm.

Printing it

  • Straight walls and a flat floor: it prints open side up, with no supports.
  • It prints in one piece whenever it fits your printer's bed. Choose your printer, and only an organizer too large for the bed is split into pieces that each fit.
  • You download an STL or 3MF file, ready for your slicer. When the organizer is split, STL comes as a ZIP of its pieces and one 3MF holds them all.

Common questions

How is it different from an adjustable or expandable organizer?

An expandable tray slides wider to roughly fill a drawer, and its compartments stay as they were made. This one is made to your measurements, and you decide where every wall goes.

Will it fit my drawer exactly?

It is made to the numbers you enter, less the clearance you choose on each side. If your printer runs tight, or the drawer is not quite square, choose a looser fit.

My drawer is bigger than my printer. Can I print it?

Yes. Choose your printer under “Your printer”. If the organizer fits its bed, it stays in one piece. If it does not, it is split into pieces that each fit, which you print one at a time and set in the drawer together.

Do I need an account?

No. You can generate and download without one. An account keeps your drawer measurements and saved configurations, so you can come back to them.
