About this tool organizer

A solid block with a pocket for each tool, sized to the tool that goes in it. Enter the size of each one, arrange the pockets in rows, and download an STL to print. It fits the set you own, whatever the brand, and there is no CAD to learn.

What people make with it

Each is a starting point. Open one and change the pockets to your own tools. To divide a whole drawer into compartments, see the 3D printed drawer organizers.

What you can change

  • Pockets. Round or rectangular, each its own size, in one row or several.
  • Clearance. How much room to leave around each tool, so it drops in and lifts out.
  • Block. From 30 to 400 mm wide, 30 to 300 mm deep and 12 to 120 mm tall, in millimetres or inches.
  • Floor. Keep a floor under the pockets, or leave them open through the block.

Printing it

  • A solid block with pockets cut straight down: it prints pockets up, with no supports.
  • Choose your printer and the editor checks that the block fits its bed.
  • You download an STL or 3MF file, ready for your slicer.

Common questions

Will my tools fit the pockets?

Each pocket is made to the size you enter, plus the clearance you choose. Enter the widest part of the tool that goes into the pocket. If a tool sticks, add clearance.

Does it work with my brand of sockets or bits?

Yes. Nothing is tied to a brand. You enter your own sizes, so the block fits the set you have.

Can it go in a tool chest drawer?

Yes. Set the block's width and depth to the space you have, and its height to the drawer.

Do I need an account?

No. You can generate and download without one. An account keeps your saved configurations, so you can come back to them.
