About this plant pot

A round planter made to the space it has to fit. Enter the diameter and height, choose the drainage holes, and download an STL to print. It is a 3D printed plant pot in your size, not the nearest one a shop stocks, and there is no CAD to learn.

What people make with it

• Mini pot, 80 mm for small succulents and cuttings on a windowsill.
• Herb pot, 100 mm in a familiar nursery-pot size, for herbs and young plants.
• Houseplant pot, 120 mm for small indoor plants.
• Round pot, 140 mm with more room and a rounded base.

Each is a starting point. Open one and change it to your own size. For the tray under the pot, make a matching plant saucer.

What you can change

• Size. From 80 to 300 mm across and 60 to 300 mm tall, measured on the outside, in millimetres or inches.
• Drainage. A hole in the centre, up to twelve around it, and how wide they are. Turn them all off for a closed floor.
• Walls and floor. Set the wall thickness from 1.6 to 5 mm and the floor from 1.6 to 6 mm.
• Bottom rim. A sharp corner, or a rounded edge for a softer base. A rounded rim may need supports when printing.

Printing it

• It prints upright, as it stands. A rounded bottom rim may need supports for a clean edge; a sharp corner does not.
• Choose your printer and the editor checks that the pot fits its bed.
• You download an STL or 3MF file, ready for your slicer.
