About this plant pot with saucer
A 3D printed plant pot with a saucer made to fit it. Set the pot's size once and the saucer follows, wide enough to catch the water and stand the pot on raised ribs. Download both files at once, as STLs or one 3MF. There is no CAD to learn.
What people make with it
- Mini pot, 80 mm sits on a 110 mm saucer, for succulents on a windowsill.
- Herb pot, 100 mm sits on a 130 mm saucer, for herbs.
- Houseplant pot, 120 mm sits on a 150 mm saucer, for small indoor plants.
- Round pot, 140 mm sits on a 170 mm saucer.
Each pair is in the catalogue as a pot and a saucer. To make one piece on its own, use the plant pot or the plant saucer. See them all in the 3D printed plant pots.
What you can change
- Pot diameter. Set once for both pieces, measured on the outside of the pot, in millimetres or inches. The saucer follows it.
- Saucer margin. How much wider the saucer is than the pot, from 10 to 60 mm across: room around the pot to catch the water and lift it out.
- Pot. Its height, from 60 to 300 mm, its walls, floor and bottom rim, and its drainage holes.
- Saucer. Its height, from 8 to 60 mm, and raised ribs that keep the pot out of standing water.
Printing it
- One generation builds both pieces. Download each file on its own, both STLs in one ZIP, or the pair in one 3MF.
- It prints upright, as it stands. A rounded bottom rim may need supports for a clean edge; a sharp corner does not.
- A flat dish with a straight wall: it prints as it stands, with no supports.
- Choose your printer and the editor checks that both files fit its bed.
Common questions
Does each piece use one of my free generations?
No. The pot and its saucer count as one generation, and a piece you have not changed is not built again.
How much bigger is the saucer than the pot?
The saucer is 30 mm wider than the pot to start with, as the catalogue's pairs are. Make it wider to catch more water, or closer for a neater look; it is never less than 10 mm, so the pot always fits inside its walls.
Can I leave out the drainage holes?
Yes. Make the pot with no drainage holes for a closed floor, though then the saucer has nothing to catch.
Do I need an account?
No. You can generate and download without one. The pair is kept in this browser tab while you work on it.
