Files generated from IteraMesh’s current reviewed Templates use CC BY 4.0, so you may sell physical prints, share files and adapt models when you provide attribution, link the license and identify changes. Check the exact model’s license and remember that trademark and other rights remain separate.
The short answer for current Templates
Yes—for files generated from IteraMesh’s current reviewed Templates, the recorded CC BY 4.0 license permits commercial use. That includes selling a physical print, provided you follow the license conditions. The license also permits sharing the file and adapting the model.
This answer applies to the generated model file, not to IteraMesh’s private Template source, site design, text, name or logo.
Give credit when you distribute it
When you share the model or a print made from it, CC BY 4.0 requires appropriate credit, a link to the license and an indication of whether you changed the material. Attribution must not imply that the creator endorses you or your product.
- Name the model and its credited creator as shown by IteraMesh.
- Link to the IteraMesh model page and the CC BY 4.0 license.
- Say that you changed the model if you modified it.
A Preset does not change the license
The Herb pot Preset is a saved configuration of the round plant pot Template, so it inherits that Template version’s generated-files license. A Preset publisher cannot replace it with different terms or grant rights the Template does not provide.
The license is recorded as an immutable snapshot with the published Template version and Preset revision. Check the license shown on the exact model you use rather than assuming every future IteraMesh file will have the same terms.
Know what the license does not settle
CC BY 4.0 grants copyright permissions, but it may not grant every permission needed for a particular product or market. Creative Commons specifically notes that trademark, publicity, privacy, moral rights and other rights can still limit a use.
Product names on IteraMesh describe compatibility; they do not mean that a vehicle, printer or storage-system manufacturer endorses the model or your printed product. This article summarizes the current product and license record, not legal advice. Read the linked legal terms when the distinction matters.
Confirm the license before you share or sell
Check the generated-files license shown on the model before you download it. The Licenses page lists the current Template, creator and license, with a practical attribution example.
