IteraMesh checks your model against the usable area of your selected printer, including a 5 mm edge margin, a 90° rotation, and the printer’s maximum height. If a supported organizer is too large, you can choose a Print Split. IteraMesh never silently scales or divides your model.
Start with the usable build area
A Printer Profile records the printer’s advertised width, depth and height. IteraMesh reserves 5 mm at every edge of the bed for space that may be needed by a brim, skirt or bed clip. A 180 × 180 mm advertised bed therefore has a 170 × 170 mm usable area in the fit check.
The margin is deliberately visible and consistent. It is not a promise about the precise reachable area of every individual printer, build plate or slicer setup.
Try rotation before splitting
Width and depth are checked in the model’s normal orientation and after a 90° rotation. This catches the ordinary case where a rectangular part fits across the bed but not in the direction first shown. Height is checked separately against the Printer Profile’s maximum Z dimension.
Use Print Split only when it is supported
The compartment organizer Template can be divided into the fewest grid pieces that fit the usable bed. The current planner uses straight, evenly spaced cuts, so a seam may cross a compartment. The Customizer chooses a supported joint and applies the recommendation explicitly. Those cut positions then become part of the Configuration.
Gridfinity bins and fitted parts such as tool holders, phone mounts and cup-holder adapters are not split. Dividing them could break a standard, weaken the part or stop it fitting the object it was made for. When one of those parts exceeds the bed, IteraMesh explains the limit instead of changing the geometry behind your back.
Know what the fit check can prove
A successful check means the declared artifact bounds fit the usable volume represented by the selected Printer Profile. It does not prove that a slicer will accept every orientation, that supports are unnecessary, or that the physical print will fit its real-world target. Geometry validation, printer-bed fit and physical fit are different claims.
Check the fit while you customize
Enter the measurements of the space or object, then select your printer. Before you generate, the Customizer shows the usable bed, whether the model fits, and any available Print Split recommendation.
