An IteraMesh Preset is a reviewed, versioned starting point for a Template. You can inspect its exact dimensions, download it as-is or customize the settings it exposes, then check the result against your own measurements before printing.

The short answer

A Preset is a reviewed starting point maintained by IteraMesh. It records a particular set of measurements and layout choices for a Template, so you can download that version as-is or use it as the starting point for your own measurements.

The round plant pot Template is the editable design behind the Herb pot Preset. The Preset is the concrete example you can inspect, customize and download.

Use it as-is or customize it

  • See the model’s measurements, description and preview.
  • Open Customize to change the settings the Template exposes.
  • Download the current generated file when the page offers it.

The available controls depend on the Template. A Preset does not promise that every part of the design can be changed; its page names the editable settings before you start.

Know which version you are using

Each Preset page identifies the Template, version and revision that produced it. A revision keeps its own dimensions, generated file and license record. If a later revision changes, the earlier version remains available so you can tell which file you used.

That versioned record is why a Preset is more than a picture or a suggested dimension: it is a specific starting point you can reproduce and cite.

Check the fit before printing

Before printing, compare the Preset’s stated dimensions with the space or object you measured. IteraMesh checks that the generated file opens and matches its stated size, but it does not print the physical part or guarantee that it fits every real-world target.

The Preset page can also show print guidance and a printer-fit check. Treat those as checks on the generated model, not proof that your printer, material or physical fit will behave exactly as expected.
